66 98 Convertible is 99% finished

Finally far enough to show off a little.

Rebuild motor, trans, rear end, steering box.
New radiator, water pump, top boot and well.
Polished stainless and most chrome was renewed.
Frame off and painted, new interior like original. Went through several painters....The rotisserie was a much needed tool.
Removed non factory AC.
New dual exhaust and proper manifold.

The list goes on and on $$$$$$$$$$ and I was only going to paint it!!!!!

See the photo album for 66BOAT.

Any comments are welcome. Much thanks to Bruce for his advice.

The car is beautifully done. Do you have the cardboard liner for the trunk? New ones are available.

I have the trunk deck material, but not the cardboard walls... the originals I have are pretty bad. Where are they available?

Give Fusick a try - they are still listed as a distributor for the manuf. - R.E.M. Automotive, 20 Landings Drive, Annville, PA 17003 Phone 717-838-4242 Their website gives a list of distributors. They do not generally sell retail.

How did you make out with the trunk cardboard? If you have to go to R.E.M., ask to speak to Mike. My friend and I sent them the original pieces to make the templates for the convertible and the Holiday Sedan.

I have a price from Fusick $146 including shipping. REM would not sell direct... but I did not speak with Mike.

GORGEOUS!!! Nothing quite as classy as a well restored full size! Now enjoy it!
