Just bought a '65 F-85 deluxe, and don't really know much about these yet. It has a Jetfire 330 and I was wondering if my car is supposed to have a fan shroud. Also, where is the stamping on this block?

Also, on a side note, were there originally any type of stickers on the inside edges of the front doors such as a tire pressure sticker or GM Mark of Excellence decal? Thanks.

 

block stamping is right behind the water pump, in front of the intake manifold (where the oil fill tube mounts).

my 65 never had a fan shroud....still doesn't.

 

Casting number is on flat deck between the water pump and the intake. Its not a stamping. Passenger head has stamped serial number on it, which if original will match the protecto plate. Steel shrouds on A/C cars only.

No decals on the door jams.
