I’ve got a persistent small issue with my ‘66 Tilt & Tele in my Starfire — the horn only sounds when the steering wheel is in a certain range of turning, otherwise it doesn’t make a sound.

I may have it wrong, but I figure it works at all, the horn buttons are o.k.. Then the electrical signal goes down through a large spring to the 3 contacts on the wheel side of the horn ring and through the ring to a spring loaded black wire in the turn signal switch which invokes the horn relay and the sound.

Does anyone have an NOS horn ring for the tilt & tele they’d be willing to sell? All of mine seem to be worn, or worn enough to be intermittent. I’d be happy with a reproduction one too, but I’m well aware that there were differences among the horn rings from Olds to Caddy which may make the search difficult.

Any words of wisdom from you all as to how to get the horn working right would be most welcome.
