64 Dynamic 88 on Overhaulin

Watching it now. Be interesting to see what Foose does to it. I don't see an original air date so it may be a new one. I was typing when they pulled the motor. What was in it?

Edit.......Looks like they're leaving the olds motor

Didn't realize it was a repeat from 2012.

In this case I think the wheels are tasteful. I like the paint scheme.

I was thrilled to see this episode! I think they're running repeats throughout October and then starting new episodes next month. Amazingly, they actually kept the original Olds motor! It had just been rebuilt so they just went through it to make sure it was in good shape before reinstalling it.

Aside from seeing a beautiful, full-size Olds being restored, it was great to see how it was actually challenging for them. All of the trim and the dash were more complicated than the typical car they do and they even griped about it a bit. It was nice to see a car get done that wasn't a "catalog restoration".

This was probably my favorite episode for a few reasons:

1) It was an Olds
2) It was a very different car than what they typically do
3) They kept the original engine
4) It wasn't so simple as most of the cars they do

I wonder why they never got it running before the end of the show?

Really, they didn't ? Maybe I missed the very end of the show. Maybe they only know how to handle engines that come in a crate lol.

They pushed it off the roll-back, and then never started it at the end of the show like they usually do. Probably trouble with that 3 deuce set-up that they added. I was disappointed to not see it run.
