64-65 Cutlass Header brand fitment.

Looking for some real world experience on what fits and how much ball-peen "surgery" needed to be done.
Before you say American Racing Headers...they're unfortunately not right for this project.
I'm looking for something a little more old school looking.

Please tell me if they worked with a full size OEM starter as well.
BONUS QUESTION: Ever had good luck with coating headers white?

This article is from quite a few years ago but if you search here for "Doug's Headers", you will find several folks have used them with no interference: http://www.hotrod.com/articles/1967-...tlass-headers/. Some have also recommended Hooker 3902, see an older post by Robski. I used the Hooker with only a small interference of the left side collector flange with the trans crossover. I cut a small section of the crossover to clear.
