‘63 Starfire Value Range?
Guys,
I just met a young lady who’s inherited her father’s ‘63 Starfire hardtop. Mileage unknown, reportedly California car with a very nice interior. I just quickly saw a shot of the dark exterior, no obvious problems. That’s about all I have on the car thus far.
My guess is it’s a 394 with a slim Jim transmission since that would have been the most common combination. But I’m not really up on pre-65 cars since mine are ‘66’s
Was I about right in guessing the value range from $5K on the rough end to about $12K for a normally restored car?
Finally, are any of you on the hunt for a ‘63 hardtop? She and her brother are trying to sort out the estate and sounded like the car will be available at some point
Thanks for any guidance you can give. I’ve got no stake in this just trying to be friendly.

394/SJ was the only drivetrain. $5-12k is a good ballpark range for a running driving COMPLETE average condition car. Some really nice high-option cars are in the $22-28k range. Past that people have been watching too much auction.
