The '58 Chromemobile

Ok guys, just watched this video
I would like for you all to comment on this guy's views in general about what occurred in '58 and specifically about the Oldsmobile. Go to about the 8 minute 34 second mark to see that. Do you agree or disagree and why? Do you think Oldsmobile could have done any thing to make a slight improvement on the '58 design. I found this very interesting to watch. I think I had a general understanding of the design process that he described and the 3 year cycle but he explained it quite well for me. Finally, about the Oldsmobile, I think if the horizontal chrome bars on the back quarter were removed it would look better.

I'd be interested to know what kind of car the channel owner drives. My bet is on a late model CUV. Kia, Honda. Toyota, Chevy, Ford. They're all the same.

While the video was superbly done, I think he missed the mark. 58 and 59 were some of the best years for GM cars and their styling cues. 1958 Chevy Impala in American Graffiti is one iconic example.

IMHO, 1958 was one of the BEST years for Oldsmobile styling (2nd only to 1971 of course, or maybe 1940).😁 Given the amount I recently financed on my 2020 F150 🙄, I should find a 1958 Oldsmobile Fiesta wagon that is a Jay Leno show stopper. Now if only I can convince momma.🤔
