So what happened to the car? That's the question every person reading that is going to be asking.

Great story ! She is the quintessential poster child for who you want to buy a car from.

As i'm sure many of us here heard when we started car hunting. " You want to buy a car from a responsible older lady, because she has likely maintained the car extremely well while not abusing it."

From an accompanying article,

She's had her oil changed every 3,000 miles — Veitch buys it by the case and purchases filters too, then stands right there to make sure the mechanic does things right every time."

Came across this when trying to find out what happened to the car, still no luck.

It is interesting you say this. When I worked my first job out of high school at a Buick dealership in 1964-66, there were a couple of old maid sisters that had bought a new 62 Buick LeSabre. It was the first new car they ever owned. They followed the owners manual to a T. They had all their oil changes at the dealership (Amalie) and everything else right on schedule. They were a hoot also.
