455 valve covers???
I bought a set of roller rockers for my 455 and they are too tall for the stock valve covers. You may already experienced that, but I want to keep stock appearing! So what can I do? The tall ones from Mondello do not have the notches on the back side of covers and the holes are not in center.
Has anyone ever modified the baffles or been able able to use stock covers?
Thanx

I've seen where people have made up spacers to gain some height. Probably not expensive a thing as it once was, with the new plasma cutters, that are programmed by computer. While not roller rockers, my engine has a Dave Smith adjustible valve train kit and .560 lift cam. With M/T finned aluminum valve covers, one of the heavy stamped steel rockers is hitting the PVC baffle plate a bit, so it's tight. Not sure if there's any height difference between the aluminum M/T's vs the stockers, but had to modify the A/C bracket a bit to make things fit.

Was awhile back so not 100% sure on what I did to the brackets. I have welding equipment, but wasn't anything to radical. Recall grinding the M/T cover corner a bit too. Know the guy doing the cover spacers is on the Corvette Forum, so I'll check into it. Can't promise anything though.
