442 engine start in 26 years

442 engine start in 26 years

Hello, how should i start my olds motor without damaging it. (1974) Thanks!

First I would remove the spark plugs and squirt ATF or PBBlaster in each of the cylinders. Then reinstall the plugs (to keep dirt and varmits out) and leave it sit for a few days. Then remove the plugs and use a ratchet/socket on the crankshaft pulley bolt and rotate the engine to make sure it is not seized.
