350 swap in a 77 cutlass supreme

I have a 77 cutlass supreme with a 350/th350 engine needs rebuild and im doing my reaserch and seeing my options. How hard will it be to swap for a 455 I have a chance to grab a rebuilt one for 1300 w/ no heads. Will I be able to just drop the 455 in with not that much to change?

The 1973-76 cars had the 455 as an option, so it bolts into your 77 as well. You'll need the correct BBO exhaust manifolds. Use the water pump, accessory brackets, and pulleys from the 350. The 350 distributor will also work with the 455, as will the valve covers.

Heavier duty radiator. Beefed TH350 or swap to TH400. Intake and exhaust manifolds for the BBO. Correctly calibrated carb. High torque starter is preferred but not mandatory. That's it.

Only if you change to a TH400.

hey Ray, I'm local and I have a set of 455 olds exhaust manifolds just laying around. If you need them let me know. I could also give you a little advice on your swap as I've done several in the past few years and am currently doing a 350 swap to 455 in my convertible. Well, done!!!!
