307 olds in a firenza

Since I haven’t had any luck selling the 307 out of my 80 cutlass I have a crazy notion of buying an 80 firenza and putting the 307 in it . Would be a fun car for the summer and maybe flip it for a few bucks later on . Any pros or cons to this idea? The car has a 231 v -6 in it now not sure of the transmission , but I could use the trans in the 80 as well . I realize this isnt the most popular car but I think it would be kind of a cool project . Well , fire away

Jeff, the biggest drawback would be finding an Olds Firenza. Do you currently have your eye on one? If you do go through with this project it would definitely be COOL!

I had a Monza, either 79 or 80, when I was in high school 87-89. Those cars were fairly crappy, even by the standards of that day, and tended to have leak and rust issues. Unless the car can be had really cheap, I don't think there's much of a chance you'll flip it for much of any profit.

It will be fun to drive with a 307, though!

I’m actually looking at one to buy it’s in good shape .may buy it Friday if the price is right .the 80 monza my wife had 30 years ago was a decent car but over the years you tend to forget all the headaches . The good thing is I already have the drivetrain .
