2nd Broadcast Card found

2nd Broadcast Card found
So, when I purchased this Lansing built Olds from the original family, a broadcast card was provided showing the 'W29' option. That was cool enough having that documentation. I'm not sure where that card came from.
However, I just removed the sill plate and discovered another card that looks like it has been there a while. Interestingly, there are speaker wires under the plate. Could those possibly be factory wires? Can't imagine that somebody removed the sill plates to run wires under them and left the broadcast card as it was.
Is it unusual to find multiple broadcast cards? Anybody else found this? Almost as thrilled with the condition of the floors as I am with finding this 2nd card. Love this car! Yes, my last 72 442 was much nicer and actually ran, but this one is more fun and original....and will run one day soon!

Always a cool find. Though unusual, 2 cards is not really rare. I know that 3 have been found. I know wrong ones (for the car they were found in) have been been found.
A recently found build sheet that was hog-ringed to the bottom back seat of a '65 Starfire proved to be one from a different car.

People always removed the sill plates to install wires. Much easier than pulling up the whole carpet.
The factory ran them in different places (not sure about your '72, but I believe along the center of the passenger side floor pan for stereo speakers - I know other divisions did this).
Those look like aftermarket wires to me.
Nice find!

I also have 2 broadcast/Fisher body cards. When I purchased my 70 W-31, I received a very nice one and when I pulled the driver sill plate and (non-original)carpet with original rubber floor mat under it, there was another very nice card with W-31 on it also as well as "rubber" hand written on it documenting the original rubber mat! It was obviously nice having the documentation when I bought the car but it is always cool finding additional paperwork yourself.
