2BBL and Quadrajet, same linkage?

Hi everybody,
I am going to change my 2BBL against an Edelbrock intake and 1406 carb.

I was wondering if the linkage to the "small carb" ist different from the Quadrajet activation (I have no chance to compare anywhere).

Any report, pictures or hints very appreciated, as always.

The rod to actuate the carb is a metal rod with ball socket. The stock 2bbl rod is shorter than the 4bbl one. You can easily thread a new longer rod and put a bend on the carb end like stock.

If you are using an Edlebrock intake and carb, you will likely need some sort of new cable bracket and throttle cable. Generic ones allow you set it up as needed. Fuel line & filter will also have to be replaced. Custom bend your own or get flexible generic. You probably need a 1" spacer under the carb if using the 3711/2711 Performer intake.

Examples - you may want or need something else:

You also mentioned quadrajet, but I am guessing you meant 4BBL in general terms rather than that specific carb.

Thanks a lot for your answers, and yes, I meant 4BBL.
