2 Olds ready for the crusher…

Saw a listing on market place parting out a 65 442.
Unfortunately there wasn’t much left to pick over…but I did score it very original 400-
It’s seized up pretty good, but hopefully can save the block & heads.

The second is a plane Jane cutlass but was once a nice car.
I didn’t have time to pull the console and it’s killing me to know it will be scrapped.

That's to bad. Those 64-66 shifters that work are gold. Good consoles aren't cheap either.

That's some old iron that's hard to come by.

That Rochester 4-Jet carb intake might be worth something since it was 65 442 400 CU IN. One year only for 400 engines so anyone restoring a 65 442 would need that.

Glad you could save what you could.

To quote the old timer sitting on the porch,
" Nope, they ain't for sale, I'm gonna restore them someday. "

That 442 looks like it already had a run in with a crusher.

Looks like a lot of salvagable parts on that '65. Shame to see them go to waste.

I might try and get back down there tomorrow for the shifter, console, trim, bolts and whatever else I can grab.

The carb IS the correct one but doesn’t have the tags.

What is that gauge in the 5th pic? Were you able to save it? Also the Chevy Rally wheels would be worth getting.

If you can't get back to get the console let me know where this place is and I'll try to get there and save parts.

HArley...unfortunately my job is calling me back to the office tomorrow so I cannot get back down there.
The guys name is Jeff, his # is 941-526-5964.
He's located at:
6127 15th st E
in Bradenton.

He told me someone will be coming on Sunday to pick the car apart...but he's open to a couple hundred bucks to pick the car first...he wants $...it's plain and simple.
I hope you get some good stuff!

The gauge appears to be an OEM vacuum gauge.

I'd think the cutlass smallblock would be good for the pulleys and brackets, heads and steel crank cores.
