2 barrel carb for 1971 Cutlass with 350 engine
Does anyone have any detailed pics of the 2 barrel carb hooked up in a 1971 cutlass with a 350 engine. I have a problem because when I hit the gas real fast the car hesitates before it revs up and it takes an act of god to start the car in the morning time. I had the carburetor rebuilt yesterday but I still have the same problem. It usually does fine on the highway afte its warmed up, but if Im driving in town and come to a stop sign and want to really get on the gas when i come out of my stop, it usually hesitates.... Sometimes nearing a stall. I just want to make sure all of my linkages and everything are hooked up correctly as well as my vacuum lines. Any pics, diagrams, or general info would be great.

Sounds like an accelerator pump, it should squirt when you depress the accellerator. Your carb wasn't rebuilt properly if the pump is not working. Check to see if the choke closes when the engine is cold after pumping the pedal to the floor once. While looking down the carb throat you should be able to see and hear a squirt of gasoline when the throttle is depressed quickly, with engine off. These cars should start right up when cold and run well with these carburetors.
