1979 HO One IN, Two Out Muffler

All:

Does anyone make a One In and Two Out Muffler for a 1979 Hurst Olds or other G Body car like the original.

Thanks
Fred

If you want a compatible performance muffler, the "Camaro" style transverse muffler is common in the aftermarket, since F-body cars used that setup. I have the Magnaflow version on my 62 F85 wagon, for example. There is also a Walker Dynomax version. They can be had in 2", 2.25", and 2.5" pipe sizes. I have Magnaflow 12265 on mine.

finally got around to doing this..

Waldron offered three levels of sound. I got the stock one as I was looking for bone stock.

all pipes were Walker pieces, I think only repro was the muffler. Fit like stock. I am pleased.

Not unreasonable priced.

Quick question, were you able to get Waldron to sell you just the muffler?

Which one did you purchase, the standard, or stainless steel? I've got to purchase one to get that rumble back.

I'll contact Waldron today or Monday to see if they will sell just a muffler. I have everything else for my 79 blue Calais which currently has a 79 Hurst/style exhaust setup. But, the muffler is 24 years old and is tired. I have an entire single exhaust setup ready to go but I would prefer to put that into the black/silver Brougham. Not looking for noise in either of these 2 cars. The 79 H/O is different, it's got the mild imposter muffler in it from Waldron which I bought from them probably 20 years ago. It's perfect if you like a little sound, especially at 65-75 mph, no cabin drone, either.

Waldron these days seems to be the only game in town for these 79 cars. AP, Walker have long ceased making the 1 in 2 out muffler.
