1972 Hurst Olds Registry

They have more Hurst/Olds information than about anyone.
Curious that you have a Hurst/Olds VIN? Unless you have the car it came from there's no way to verify any VIN came from a Hurst/Olds, though H/OCA has VIN lists.

This Hurst Olds was sold new in 1972 at the dealership that I worked. It had sideswiped a phone pole and was in our body shop being repaired. I was fortunate enough to save some original invoices many years ago when we moved to a new location. Thanks a million for the information.

Since I now have the database platform for the SX455 registry and I also run the ‘72 V Code registry, I plan to start gathering ‘72 H/O info for posterity. I own a sunroof car now and that has spurred me to expand my registries in that direction. I have a couple decades of ads, screenshots, pics, etc. to start it but I’ll be reaching out for info when I get ready to start for real.

No, this took the entire left side out. To the point that the entire cowl was replaced with a used cowl. The fender was replaced new and a used door was installed. I have pictures of the repair somewhere. I knew even then what a rare car it was. My concern looking back was that the VIN plate was not swapped out from the donner car. At the time, the car was about a year old.
