1972 Delta 88

All, I’m thinking of looking at this Delta, I don’t know squat about them so any advice on these would be appreciated
as for price, I think it’s kinda high I think in the 4-4500 range is appropriate for this car... thoughts

If the bottom is as nice as the top 6 isnt bad. Start at 45 and go from there.

A few comments.

1. It is definitely overpriced. $4,000, maybe $4,500 would be fair. Here's why:

2. Two significant dents in the body, as is shown in the photos. For $6,000, I would not want to see dents.

3. Least-desirable body style. It's a four-door sedan.

4. Very low option. All I can see is air-conditioning, the 455 engine, and AM radio. No power windows, locks, or seats, no cruise control. No tilt wheel. No rear defogger. Can't tell if it has if the driver's side mirror is remote-control.

5. With a mileage approaching 100K, it is not "low mileage" nor a cream puff.

6. Poorly-fitting front door. Is this where the dents are? Hard to tell from the photos.

In short, the car is a good-condition but well-used, low-option, slightly damaged family sedan. $4,000.

Not a bad looking car if you like more doors and I do. In my area doubtful if you could find one in as good a condition in the $5,000 range..... Tedd

No worries here, it would really have to impress me when I see it before I’d plunk the cash down for it, the other thing I’m not sure about is a car with no arm rest in the seat, yes my beetle doesn’t have one but I’m always busy rowing gears...
i called the seller but he never returned my call.. so..?

I agree with your assessment of this car, I was thinking the gap in the door was due to not being closed all the way in the photo?

i like the convenience of extra doors but prefer no post between them, and around Milwaukee your lucky to even see a 72 delta, yet one that has all its metal on the body without gaping holes and holes rusted thru the floor, I won’t buy any cars that require rust repair and paint, mechanical is ok
