Reinstalling radiator. How is it held in? It was held in with zip ties before, that can’t be right but don’t see any straps or bracket to bolt it in. Anyone have diagram or explanation?
thanks

There is a metal plate that runs across the front of the engine above the fan and radiator (yellow arrows point at it below), and you have to remove this to get the radiator out. There should be rubber mountings attached to the underside of this plate on each that the radiator tanks fit into. There are similar mountings along the bottom of the radiator that you set the radiator in when installing it. If someone used zip ties to hold the radiator in place, it's probably because those top rubber mounts are missing. I don't know if new ones are made. You may have to find rubber supports from a parts car.
This is what I'm talking about. Includes the metal mounting brackets that the rubber supports fit inside of, which are probably also missing on your car. Not sure if these will work for you or if you need to find some for a Cutlass with a radiator with as many cores as yours has.
