Is there a trick to reinstall the glovebox hinge in a 1971 Cutlass Supreme? I took everything out so the audio place could install an original radio. It’s driving me crazy!

 

I don't know the answer to your question, but I wonder why you removed theglove box door to aaccess the radio? In the past 40 years I have installed multiple radios in my '70 and '71 Cutlasses and never even considered removing the glove box door. Everything is accessible from under the dash directly below the radio.

 

Three screws that hold hinge to metal frame on inside edge that are impossible to see. I used a mirror to get things lined up.

 

I don't know if yours would be the same as on a 69 but it may be. The first time I took mine apart I had a similar experience. The lower left detail shows how the hinge sits with the glovebox. I hope this helps. This is out of the Assembly Manual. If you don't have one Hairy OLds sells the best copies out there. The others are incomplete and unreadable. Steve
