I like the white with the yellow.
This 1970 Oldsmobile 442 hardtop is powered by a numbers-matching 455ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and it has been refinished in its factory color of Sebring yellow with white stripes over an ivory-colored interior. The car was factory-equipped with the W-30 package, which included a scooped fiberglass hood, sport mirrors, and contrasting stripes. The car was first sold by Biddulph Oldsmobile in Glendale, Arizona, and spent time in Arizona, Tennessee, and Colorado before the selling dealer acquired it in 2019, reportedly from the third owner; the car was listed on BaT in April 2020 by the same seller. Equipment includes Strato-Bucket front seats, a Hurst shifter, and an AM radio. Detailing work was performed in May 2019 along with treatment of rubber and vinyl components, and the oil was changed in early 2021. This W-30 442 is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, a Protect-O-Plate, service records since the 1970s, and a clean Arizona title.

I hope this helps.

That is as fine of a documented 70-442 W30 w/4 speed that I can recall seeing. 3 broadcast cards, POP card, etc, geez. Also, on slide #52, what is that yellow tag that reads Oldsmobile to Chevrolet? I have not seen that before. From a real deal car perspective, that car will likely crack $100k, easy. Compare that ride to the loads of undocumented W30's that have sold for much more, it is a choice car. For me, I would tire of the yellow color, but that's my taste.

Whatever. Makes zero sense to bring that up. People can't even spell a word these days. Oh sorry CES a word.
Thank You Classic Muscle 442. He just has some odd beef with me.

I bet it will crack 100k too. Full of documentation. Not many W-30's like this car. I so have a thing for white interior cars too. Personally I really like seeing a Sebring Yellow car with white stripes and interior. When I was a kid there was a fairly beat 70 W-30 Sebring Yellow / Black stripe and interior car that ran around Englewood Colorado. Old lady owned it. This car would be waayyy up there on my list.

Nice and well documented W30 4 speed. Curious why less than a year and a half ago it was listed for sale on BAT by the same seller, and ‘only’ bid to 55K. Has the market changed that much, or has the car?

This car sure looks to be no joke. Love it.

To the above,
the same car was on Craigslist In upstate NY, for a bit. I saw it listed before on ebay also. Not sure if the same.
there's not alot like that car, so who knows.
I'm always a critic of ...the shiny new red inerfenders, on an original.
my w30 fenders I've done every trick...they look old.

Agreed--If my memory is correct, this is not the car's first appearance on BAT, nor at the auction houses, likely money being the issue. Nothing is reasonably priced nowadays [ example-used Toyota Tacos selling today for more than their MSRP when new ]; however, to expect this car to sell for less than 100 bones is not reality, when plain Jane 442s are pushing that number today. Perhaps this time around is the charm for the automobile and seller. I sure hope that is the case.

That's crazy Andy. Like you said crazy small world. I worked at the Sound On Wheels car stereo store just north of Belleview. Pretty sure that Englewood car had black stripes and interior. Dented rear quarter etc.

Kool W-Machine. The Yellow Calipers are a detraction from original finish, but no big deal and if the radiator & top plate are correct / original to the car then it should be a 3.91 gear. TO code should be stamped into the axle tube.

I wanted to post these two pictures of the driver doors to make comparisons between them, and also to note the different placement and size of stickers between my door (W30. Astro Blue) and the W30 currently for sale on BAT (Sebring Yellow).
Note the placement locations and different shapes between the tire pressure stickers. The VIN stickers definitely found different homes when they were applied to the doors. The Sebring Yellow W30 is an Oct 1969 build, while my car is March 1970. Note the date locations printed on the VIN stickers.
Finally, to me anyway, I don’t see the two ridges in the yellow door. I’ve made arrow notations to point out more clearly in the photograph of the blue door to indicate my observation.
My assumption is that the stickers and doors are originals to both automobiles. Just more pictures to prove things changed over time as these cars were built.

The difference is early build vs later build as you surmised. Generally the two ridges / boarder for the VIN decal became available on cars built in 1970 while the no boarders were 1970 model cars built in 1969. The trunk is another body panel with differences from early to later.
