I need to replace the AC compressor which died yesterday while returning home from a car show in 90 degree heat. This compressor is a rebuilt factory unit from Rock Auto that was installed about 6 years ago. I'm hesitant to go the rebuilt route at this point. Is there a direct fit upgraded replacement available and if so which one is recommended?

There are lots of options for replacing the A6 compressor. The follow-up question would be, how factory do you want it to look? I have heard about the Pro6TEN so I did a real quick google on it and it looks ok.

 

Thank you for the reply and information, cjsdad. I'll check it out. Reliability is a higher priority than factory original at this point.
