I am trying to install a new glove box liner in my '70 Supreme but the son of a gun will not fit through the opening. I have removed the lid and the lock latch and it is still is a son of a gun.
Do I have to remove all the air duct plumbing (it has original AC) under the dash to install?
Just a suggestion. Try putting it in perpendicular to the dash then try and turn it. Try both opening of the box left and right. Thought I did it that way before.
Thank you for the suggestion - I tried putting it in perpendicular but it still won't go in. I believe it is due to the earlier comment that AC equipped models have a smaller glove box opening.

I did it on my friends Hurst Olds a few years ago but it’s fuzzy how we did it. I’m thinking we put the ducts in first through the opening? Not sure how we got them in if box was done first?

The opening isn't smaller it's the back of the glove box is closer to the front because of the duct work behind.
To update everyone - I got the glovebox in - I had to remove the ducting and go underneath - worked well. Now getting all those little screws fastened with the flimsy felt board... I had to take a brake before lost my patience...
