1970 442 seat covers

What is the best source for nice fair priced front bucket seat covers (upholstery) for a 1970 442?

Looking for green in original pattern.

Thanks!

Thanks. I wasn't aware of that. It is a convertible.

PUI and Legendary are the main vendors for plug-and-play repro upholstery, but Legendary seems to have more fans.

Beware though with either vendor you may face a long wait time from purchase. I only just recently received my Legendary convertible rear seat upholstery after a 1+ year wait from date of order.

Look for sales especially around the holidays to save some extra $$ - the deals can be fairly substantial - I saved nearly $100 on my covers from one and the wait time will be no different in any case if they're not already an in-stock item from whomever you get them.

Bought a car recently that previous owner updated PUI to Legendary on it and preferred it. I like it.

Looking for black in original pattern.

Thanks!
I have used several brands for car restorations that I've done and prefer the PUI which I used in my latest 442 resto. The products were great but the wait times were long when I was finishing my 442. I think I had to wait like 14 months for the rear seat side trim panels. Hopefully the wait times have lessened by now since we are past most of the COVID delays.

Ok, looking on Legendary's site I see two styles for the front seat covers.. My car has the '4 button' square panel style like this one which is listed for Cutlass Supreme/442
My current front seats look like this but green..
https://www.legendaryautointeriors.c...70gud0010100g/
I am assuming this is the correct front covers for my car.

There is another listed with a V shaped piping under horizontal panels listed as being for Cutlass S/442.
https://www.legendaryautointeriors.c...70gus0010100g/ Mine is NOT like this.

I do not see front seat covers listed specifically for convertible. Is only the rear seat different on the convertibles?

Thanks in advance!

Since you could not buy a Cutlass S 'vert in '70 (only Cutlass Supremes, which the 442 'vert was based on), I highly suspect that the first link is what 'verts use and the 2nd link is what (fast-back) coupes use. My '70 C/S 'vert used the 1st one.

Yes, that is the correct pattern for 442 Convertibles, and Cutlass Supreme Models

I ordered my seat covers from Legendary in late November last year with a holiday discount and eight month lead time. They actually arrived in seven months. I was very pleased with the covers. There are very good instructional videos on YouTube if you choose to install them yourself.
