1970 442 but Dealer Installed W-30?

Supposedly this 1970 442 had the W-30 option installed at the dealership and they have the documents to prove it.

How would they have installed the different engine parts (heads, intake, cam, etc) and the modified TH-400 trans?

Plus it has power brakes and AC. Maybe added later?

Automatic or 4 speed? Edit: I watched the video. The car is an automatic. Little difference between the 442 and W-30 AUTOMATIC'S. The dealer could bolt on the parts and could have also installed an OW transmission. The car could never be numbers matching because the 442 automatic cars came with an OG transmission and the automatic W-30's came with the OW transmission. The VIN derivative could not match.
Creative advertising!!
I'm interested if Joe P agrees.

^^^This

It's a modified car, period. The fact that some W-30 parts were bolted on by someone other than the factory doesn't make it a W30.

Amen. Gotta love a car dealer. Hell it has the correct 442 floor mats...😂🤣
Looks like plenty of repainted interior parts.

Any story about dealer installed this or that, or one of one stuff is 99.9% chance bullshit. Not just because it's fanciful, but the odds of it being on the car you just happened to run across are also almost nothing.

It's like the w-31 rallye 350.

I think every person on here doesn't see that car as a real W-30. 442 with a bullshit story. Now that's rare.

It's not even close to a 66 or 67 W30 Trac Pac.

There is not one person here that thinks it is. If anyone thinks a California built car is a true W car? That's why we have scam dealer with a video even. No trust us...

We can confirm it is a real 442 but not a real W-30.

Nice car, either way. It sold for like $70k

W-29 and 1/2. Still doesn't add up to W-30.

I find it hard to imagine a dealer wasting so much time and money unless the car got wrecked in transit.
