1969 Hurst Olds dash question

The lower plastic dash above the radio that is sort of a arch or hood above the radio I want to install my old MAP LIGHT off the old existing dash onto the new one does anyone know what is the best tool to used to make the cutout in the new dash I'm afraid of cracking/splintering or even worse breaking the new dash panel, I know enough about cutting plastic to tape it both sides but I'm afraid to use a drill then a saw or even a razor blade
Anybody ran into this or has done it successfully??
ThanksAL

Use a dremel and a file. Rough out the cut, use the file to make the fit clean tight. If I remember correctly there is a template in the assembly manual.

I used a dremel with a cut off wheel. As you go deeper the cut off wheels have a tendency to melt vs cut but they are easy to clean up

I'm pretty sure they chewed a hole in it at the factory....lol (the factory holes look like they were cut not stamped as well)
