They could be either, and I don't think there was much rhyme or reason to what car got what valves in 88-98 series- as in I've seen 2-bbl engines with big valves and 4-bbl with small and vice versa. If it were a Toronado engine, big valves fer sher, but if it's original paint red it is probably from B-C car.

But, as you say, another 455 laying around can't hurt.

Should make a good driver, as long as it was a clean and dry storage.
Sounds like a great snag, big or small valves.

Big valve, small valve, you would never ever see or feel the diff on the street!

Got it hoping to install this weekend if I can talk the wife into letting me play with the mistress.

Once I know it's a runner for sure I will be installing my Eddie performer and 800cfm carb and hooker headers

Carb and remote choke will be up for sell soon

That's a surprisingly clean-looking engine.

Good luck with it!

Yes, I contacted Chris on the intake we will see if it's what he is looking for in condition

This motor looks like it had a reseal at some point red rtv all over it valve covers exhaust manifolds gaskets ? Odd can't tell on the head gaskets

Intake has the rubber seals on it

Carb looks like it might have been redone but who knows the plastic choke part looks super nice on it

Looks like what mine did before I replaced it. But that was on my 350. Mine was missing those locking teeth, though.

Okay just wondering alittle on spark plugs I realize that it's a common topic but I read threw a few threads and can't seem to get my head around it

Cold plugs work better with high compression/ crap gas correct ?

Hot plugs work better with low compression/ high Octain gas ?

I am at 4600 above sea level and the highest gas is 91 I can get 100 but it's like 9 bucks a gallon
I will be running hei
Just trying to figure out what plug I should be running
My 330 I bought ac delco 46SZ
And a cheap ebay hei gapped .050
There's less then 1000 miles on plugs and wires just curious if I can just swap them over
