Hello, I am new here. I wanted to know if anyone can guide me. I have to replace hood hinges on my 69 442. My findings are that only 69-72 Cutlass/442 hood hinges are an exact fit. No other GM A body models will fit my car. Is this true?

Does anyone recommend who to buy from?

It's true. Possible sources of supply include this site where people from time-to-time have your hood hinges for sale. Another possibility is is Fusick Automotive Products, Inc. (www.fusick.com for their on-line catalog). Fusick sells a reproduction hood hinge (both sides) and springs for the '69-'72 Olds A-bodies.
