1969 442 fremont trim tag ?
I dont know much about the 69 cali cars and was wondering if someone can help me decode the lower option numbers. The body, trim, paint and build date are easy but the numbers on the bottom are oblivious to me. Also the punched or indented #1 on the top right corner is another ? for me. If anyone can help decode the lower option codes and what the punched #1 means I would really appreciate it. Thanks
Lower # 697539 920702 These are the numbers

I'll get it started. I have a '69 442 built at the same plant and have the same trouble as you with the numbers at the bottom of the trim tag. But here's what I see for the rest of it.
ST 69 = style/model year = 1969
34487 = Oldsmobile (3) 442 (44) holiday coupe (87)
BF = assembly plant = Fremont CA
01863 BDY = assembly plant body number (no relation to the VIN)
TR 937 = trim/interior color and front seat type = parchment color interior with strato bucket seats
55 50 PAINT = lower and upper body colors = tahitian turquoise lower body color with a cameo white top (a two-tone car, the top is not vinyl)
12C = time build code = December (12), 3rd week of that month (C) 1968
697539 920702 = ?
I hope someone else can decipher the numbers at the bottom!

The really great thing about GM and Oldsmobile? There was no 'absolute' standard for vehicle stamping or product documentation like build sheet controls. As mentioned ^^^ the fisher codes (6 digits) were known probably only to the assembly workers with the code sheets needed to interpret them. Also remember that not EVERY Fisher option was stamped on that tag.
