69 = 1969
34487 = Oldsmobile 442 Holiday Coupe
BF = Fremont, California Assembly Plant
02773 = Fisher Body Unit Number
930 = Black in color themed interior with Strato bucket seats
B80 = Exterior Drip Scalp Molding
40 = Saffron lower body paint (There should be another number or letter designating the upper body color or vinyl roof color if so optioned)
02D = 4th week (D) of February 1969 begin build week
Next two sets of 6 digits are internal plant codes that will appear on the build sheet

Thanks for this. I hope to find the broadcast sheets in the coming weeks and I can then verify any additional options.

You are very welcome Sean. Thankfully build sheets and broadcast cards are found in many cars built in Fremont. But there is a chance there isn't any to be found as well as the workers were not required to place them in the car nor were they meant to accompany the car to the owner. Good luck with the search my friend and keep us posted.

Many, many (maybe even most?) Fremont cars will have a build sheet on top of the gas tank; and are likely to have others scattered around car.

I thought 940 were black buckets...
What does Strato mean?
If you google Stratos it is a municipality in Greece , whose boundaries look like a bucket seat....
I think I have cabin fever

Saffron, black stripes and black vinyl top. May opt to leave off the vinyl in the restoration though. More trouble to have it on..

Thanks
Sean

Very nice! I myself usually do not like vinyl tops, but this one seems to strike me differently. Maybe it's the offset of the saffron and black, but I do like this look. Personally I'd redo it with really good prep work underneath. Just my opinion of course.

How does the interior look?

Sammy I would thought you would have been up to speed on that term! Anywho
term given to Oldsmobile bucket seats, do to the space age of 50's and 60's!
I would guess short for stratosphere, also "rocket" engine, Starfire and I am sure that there maybe other colors than just astro blue.

IIRC yours and my 70 Supreme's had strato buckets as standard equipment, you still had order the sports console to get floor shift or you got the column shift.

Thanks Pat....I am humbled....I did not link the term Strato to that era..I think the cabin fever is worse than I thought...think I will go lie down

Sean,

Nice score.
Check the package tray area for the build sheet as well. Check the seat for the broad cast card.

That's where I found them on my 71 Fremont car.

No big shakes here! Cabin fever…? Your not shoveling/blowing snow on daily basis like I am? I think we are at 140% above our seasonal avg. so far! I think I have permanet kong foo grip from holding a shovel, snowblower or chain saw from last ice storm.

At work I have my computer logged on to web cams over in Maui, Hawaii to keep some what sane!
