1967 442 Ash Tray light question

1967 442 Ash Tray light question

Kind a simple mabey dumb question.
The housing assembly that the light bulb is inserted into seems to be all metal. How is it that any light can shine into the ash tray?

There is a small hole in the Metal Housing..

Like Ron said, small hole & small blue lens inside the ashtray housing.

It's the Blue lens that was messing with me. I looked like it was plugging the hole. Why the blue lens?

Great Al...I got some Ice time in this morning...Didnt score any Goals Fell down a few times..That was just on my way out to the Pole Barn..We had freezing rain here last night.Hope you are well.Keep your Stick on the Ice..
