1966 442 Engine Stamp Question

I’m interested in understanding the codes on the right front cylinder head of my ‘66 442 400. I understand the V decodes to the 400 cubic inch 442 block followed by the engine unit number (which appears on my POP). What I’m intersted in is meaning of the JDC 2565, if any. The car was built at the Fremont Plant.

Thank you, Gary

I've never seen the extra letters and numbers. I have had a machine shop stamp my initials into a head after they rebuilt it.

Yep,probably the engine/heads went through a machine shop and are identifier marks. I've seen a lot of 66 400's and have never seen that before.

I thought the stamping was always on the front of the left cylinder head?

I think the extra numbers are custom; agree with the rest of our group.

Check the back of the driver's side head. It's possible the machine shop stamped both heads when they were off.
