1965 Cutlass Wheel Well Chrome

Today, I went to the local Pull-a-part and found a 65 F85 sitting there rusting
away. It still had all the Stainless parts there. I removed the wheel well stainless pieces (before someone comes along and destroys them by trying to pry them off with a screw driver) Does anyone know if these will fit on any other year Cutlass/F85/442? Thanks, Eric

Is this a post car and if so how is all the side window surround stainless. I know someone that is in desparate need. The idiot that took his car apart just peeled it off and ruined 90% of it.

Yes, I think it's all there. I'll have to drive over sometime this week and
check it out.

Thanks Richard for the heads up.

Esisson if you do return and find that it does have the post trim, I need the rear quarter window pieces. I have already purchased the trim for the doors from a guy in Washington. Can you find out what the cost is to obtain these pieces? Let me me know if it still has the OLDSMOBILE letters on the trunk lid.

Thanks in advance

Kevin

I'll hazard a guess that it will fit a 64 as well...
But 442,cutlass & f-85 should make no difference at all.

(you may have to drill the holes though...not all cars came with it)

Now...while you're there,
could you please grab me the muffler bearings?

65 F85 Parts

You guys cracks me up! While I'm looking for the muffler bearings, I'll see if it still has the Kanuter valve on it to. LOL.
I went back to look at it again today. It's a post 4 door F85 (1965). I carefully removed all the stainless parts off the car, (not an easy task) - only ruined 1 piece, the front grill, headlight surrounds. The inside smells so bad that I can't sit in it for long! The only thing left on the car worth keeping is the front and rear bumpers. If anyone on this board is looking for bumpers, let me know. I can make another trip.

I need the OLDSMOBILE emblems that are on the trunk. What is the cost if you can obtain them?

I know I'm really late to this thread, but did it have the simple F-85 tail pc chrome? Just two thin chrome strips and the rocket between the taillights.

Steve, the 1964 and 65 used different wheelwell trim. Since this is an old thread I'd encourage you to create a new thread in the parts wanted forum. In addition, If you don't find what you need here you should check out the sites specifically for 1965 (and 1964 to a lesser degree) John

man, talk about making this guy work!!!

the 65 wheel well trim will only fit 65, no other years. it is interchangeable between the 442's and non-442's. i have a set i am trying to sell now. the drivers side are in really good shape, the passenger side hs some dings and dents. but i have all 4 pieces, all need to be refinished for show quality. but it is rare to find these pieces even in rough shape. i scored a show quality set for $200!!!!
