Are all the A/C brackets and braces interchangeable from a 330 to a 400 on a 65 Cutlass/442? I have a dilemma about a particular brace under the compressor that supports the unit on my 442 with stock 400, it’s a round brace around 8 inches long. It attaches on the front lower part of the sliding bracket to the lower block almost to the block drain plug. The brace seems to be too short to bolt up.

 

If you are talking about the lower strut, they are different between SBO and BBO.

 

Yes, that’s it, no wonder it doesn’t bolt up! It must of gotten mixed up with the other A/C parts that I had for assembly. I’ll blame that on my wife. Thanks Joe, your knowledge is remarkable!
