1965 A/C system help
I am building my 65 Vista Cruiser. Currently putting the finishing touches on my build and have discovered the A/C system has lost all refrigerant.
-car is not a restoration as it has a multi port fuel injected 455 with a TKO 600 among other upgrades.
-put a vacuum test the system and it has a leak and will not hold vacuum.
-just doing a simple search, the hoses do not seem to be available.
-condenser, compressor, evaporator, and drier seem to be available.
-does anyone have a suggestion how to deal with replacing the hoses?
-are there any sources for the fittings?
your insight is appreciated.

There is a company in Florida called Cold Hose that will rebuild your hoses fairly cheaply. They also sell all kinds of AC parts. I'm sure there are many other companies that do this too.
Next time you charge your system, put some infrared dye in it. It will make finding leaks a lot easier. Harbor freight sells a R134A sniffer - I don't know if it will work with R12.
Good luck - Love seeing these old AC systems being revived!
