1962 Starfire

Saw this beauty at the Lemont Car Club tonight. The pictures don't do justice.

I love 62 Starfires and that one is a beaut. I have never seen wire wheelcovers on a 62 Starfire.

Definitely nice looking!

Reason one doesn't see the wire caps is because they were not available in 1962, Nor were the side view mirrors on it. They appear to be '61 vintage.

The wires give the car a different look and to me they work. The mirrors are from a 63 full size.

I didn't think wires came on the 62 Starfire. I still think the original Starfire wheelcovers look way better. A car restored that nice should look like a 62 Starfire. JMHO.

The only differnce betw the 62 & 63 mirrors is the design pattern on the back. For 63 the lines were circular, while in 62 they were vertical.
