Not sure but 1960 used a different setup than the 59 so you may be able to swap that system over to the 59...

There are a number of specialists who can do a very competent job of rebuilding the original. two different units are used: Factory power brake equipped cars use the Delco Moraine unit. Dealer installed PB is the Bendix Treadle-Vac unit (Which may also come in some factory equipped cars). They look similar, but share no parts. If I were going to convert to a firewall mounted system (With dual MC), I'd start with a pedal assy. from a non power brake equipped car, which will start you out with the correct geometry & pushrod (Which will have to be modified).

I'm curious. Why do you want to convert to a firewall MC?i. I rebuilt my MC located in the depths of the engine bay and other than being a PITA location, it worked out fine.

I also rebuilt my Treadle vac, but am concerned with the single circuit master. The boys at the brake shop here said they could make a system to fit in the original location but use a new remote booster and dual circuit master. This means you can utilize the existing pedal assembly , hide the booster in the driver fender ( as long as you don't have the Autronic eye) and mount a new dual circuit master under the steering box out of sight.
The only thing to over come is the way the original actuating rod is attached by a cup formed in the rubber of the brake pedal pad.
Also the firewall has the punchouts for the Caddy etc master / booster that mounts above the steering box. You may be able to use the pedal assembly from another car that uses that mounting point.

hi our thoughts were about upgrading mc to a dual circuit system. fire wall mounted mc would also make any maintanance in the future easier .will look at a friends 59 cadillac and see if it will work ,thanks for all your suggestions. brad
