I posted a problem awhile back I was having with my 58 Olds Jetaway transmission. Since then I realized that the throttle linkage and bellcrank is from a 59 Olds 394 engine. My carb is a 58 and my transmission is a 58 but my engine is in fact a 59 394 engine. Does the bellcrank from a 58 bolt up the same as a 59? From studying the shop manuals from both years, it seems that each work in an opposite way and look different. If that is the case then I need to resolve this issue first and then diagnose my transmission problems.

So, I was wondering if there is anyone in the San Francisco Bay Area that has a stock 58 Oldsmobile that would be willing to let me come and look at their car to see how the throttle linkage and bellcrank is hooked up and see how it operates. I live right in SF and would be willing to travel to you.
