1957 Olds front suspension help

So I just finished installing the front suspension in my 57 and it appears that there is a significant amount of negative caster.
The manual calls for 0 to 3/4 degree of positive caster.
It seems to be more than can be adjusted out with shims.
It doesn't change with load.
I have replaced the ball joints and control shafts/ bushings. The control shafts are centered in the arms as recommended in the shop manual. The lower ball joints are on the correct sides. The upper ball joints are the same side to side as are the knuckles (as far as I can tell).

Any ideas?

Bill

Your not going to get an accurate measurement until you have all the weight on the wheels. I wouldn't worry about it until the car is reassembled.

Ok, thanks Eric.
My default mode with this car is to assume I have screwed something up until proven otherwise......
