40 Fords are great cars and one of my favorites. I had a 2 door sedan in high school that I put a sbc in. Need to know more about the car and more pictures to give any opinion as to price. Most have AC and I see this one doesn't. Looks like a neat car but maybe an older restoration.

Yeah it’s an older restoration but the drive train is fresher.

Hi,

40's Fords are cool, although they to a extent are the 69 Camaro of that generation of cars. Have a friend who had one, very nice car SBC, etc. He took it to the Autorama, and low and behold there was 5 other one's there, all the same color, needless to say he didn't win his class, if it would have been a different make and as nice as it was, he would have won its class.

So if that's one of your dream cars, go get one, if you want to take it to shows and be the only one there, maybe not the best choice.

Good luck with the search, lots of nice ones around, and hopefullybetter price range.

Regards,
Jim

have owned over 20 street rods and muscle cars and grew up with street rods but unfortunately the older guys like me are dying away and so are street rods .prices are at a all time low and as nice as 40"s are and I've owned a forty coupe and 39 convert there prices are also, a good forty coupe can be bought for under 35k with ac and modern components. it's sad but life moves on and wonder how long muscle cars have. was thinking of getting into rice burners but i'd kill myself first. the market for street rods is getting smaller and smaller
