1928 Model A roadster pickup

Well after 2 years the 28 roadster pickup finally made its maiden journey. Its been a labor of love to restore this gem. The owner has had it since he was 16, he's in his late 60's now.

These were about a year into the project, just got the body mounted on the frame after going through the drivetrain, suspension and brakes.

And this was its first drive after 2 years. It was a fun project and the first Model A we restored. The project started out as a rusted pile of parts. The body and running boards were reproductions as the originals were beyond repair. The bed, fenders, and hood were original and all beat to crap. Spent months with a hammer and dolly straightening them out. I think it turned out really well for a couple of amateur guys in a backyard shop.

Very nice. I like the cream colored wheels with the blue and black body. I have always wanted a Model A since I was a kid. Never gonna happen.

I've only seen a couple roadster pickups, but think they're a way cool setup!

Had a 28 AA flat bed dump truck as a teenager. Good to see one being saved and it's original too! Thanks for the cool pictures and the resurrection of my old memories... Tedd
