1904 Oldsmobile at Newport party!

To help launch my new book about the early days of the car industry, CAR CRAZY, in which the story of the birth and growth of Oldsmobile is told, the Audrain Automobile Museum kindly brought to the event a 1904 Curved Dash Olds -- and gave rides! Watch a video and learn more about the other cars at the event here. And read more about CAR CRAZY here. Enjoy the ride!

Those old cars are interesting. I really would not want to own one. They don't even have an electric self starter!

No electric starter!

Larry, no, that technology came later. There was a talent to cranking. One mechanic I write about in Car Crazy was so skilled he earned the nickname "Cranky Louis"! Here's where I introduce him, in Chapter 11. Enjoy the Ride!
