.100 over bore

Has anybody ever bore a 455 to .100? My engine builder says they do it all the time with olds engines. There making custom pistons for this engine and they say it will run like the wind. I have never heard of anybody doing this.

as long as the wall thickness is good and there is minimal core shift, .050" out of each wall shouldn't be an issue.

x2 What he said, I've bored out to resleeve a 71 455 that had broke a rod and scored the bore without any problems. Good luck.
