1 year after

Today is 1 year after my car was stolen. It runs and drives but has a long way to go. September will mark 42yrs. of ownership. I might have let sentiment get in the way of good financial decisions. I received 25k from insurance and probably could have sold what was recovered for 12k to 15k with the other parts I had. I currently have a few dollars shy of 10k invested. I have disassembled the car, stripped the paint, built the rearend, rebuilt my Muncie, put a crank and bearings in a motor I already had. The only labor not done by me was machine work on the crank and welding on the narrowing of the rear end housing. I still need paint, wheels and tires, exhaust, and carpet. In hindsight I might have taken the money and done something else. The pictures were taken today.

A labor of love. Looks really nice. Is it a '67?

Its coming along nicely. It was unfortunate, but it will be better when its all back together and possibly a little cash left over.

Progress is always a great thing and helps you to see the light at the end of the tunnel... I doubt you will have any regrets when it is completed and you start to enjoy driving it...
