Please help. Blower fan won't turn off.
Hi there,
I have a 1959 98 Olds Holiday Sceni-coupe.
When I turn the ignition on, the heater fan runs even when the heater fan is in the 'OFF' position.
I have replaced the heater control resistor.
I have now replaced the heater sensing unit.
I cannot see in the manual anything else to do with this problem.
Help appreciated.
Thanks
John.

Have you checked to see if there's voltage on both sides of the on off switch in all positions? You may have a bad switch ( there should be no continuity through the switch when off), and voltage is getting through. The other thing may be a bad ground letting voltage get back to the circuit.

Hi there,
By 'switch', do you mean the switch on the dash to control the heater fan or the switch on top of the heater blower under the bonnet?
Thanks
John.
