No Turn Signals Whatsoever On My 1960 88 & I Need Them !!!...

Hello everyone, hope one of you can help me out...All of my exterior lighting works on my 1960 Dynamic 88 (headlights, both high and low, front marker lights when headlight switch is pulled half way out, brake lights and running lights in the rear) except for NO SIGNALS. One other note, I have not addressed the back up lights yet (I can see the wires hanging down).

-I installed a new flasher, bulbs, and took the turn signal switch apart and reassembled it as it looked good inside (could still be the problem, I suppose).

-I have key on power on one of the flasher terminals at the fuse box.

-I have key on power and a good fuse for the turn signal circuit at the fuse box.

-I have slightly "weaker" (I`m just using a test light here, not my multimeter) key on power at the orange wire connection leading to the turn signal switch.

-Both bulbs are good for the dash signal indicators and so is the fuse box power/fuse to the dash lights.

Can anyone of you help me trace this issue down? I have the shop manual and had studied it extensively (There is really not much there).

Help be brainstorm!!! I`m just a bodyman over here, not an electrical surgeon...Thanks.....

Have you checked your grounds, or perhaps for a broken wire in the circuit somewhere?

Also check the plug at the bottom of the steering column for corrosion - found that a couple of times!

Do you have brake lights? If you do then the wires to the taillight are good and your problem is in the turn signal circuit either at the switch in column or at the wiring block on the cloumn

I can tell that I need to tear the column down because the turn signal rod wasn`t engaging the switch. That said, I have also manually moved the turn signal switch pin with my finger to the left and the right with the key on. Shouldn`t that have made the signals blink? All of the other lights work....I won`t be able to get to the car until the end of the week so all I can do is brainstorm right now. Thanks to everyone that replies.
