TicTacToc Wiring

Hi Guys, Was trying to search through the forum before asking this question.

I have a tic tac toc but it seems to not be working. I am trying to make sure I have it wired correctly.

Any thoughts, do I have this backward?

Thanks...TP

Tach wiring

I just went through this after taking my tachometer / clock out to get the quartz movement on the clock done. Unfortunately, I forgot to document where the wiring goes. Everything looks right in the photo . The only wires missing are the orange ( clock ) wire to the left side male connector and the shielded wire that grounds to the back of the instrument bezel.

That should pretty much complete the wiring to the tach / clock.

The little screw on the right is the illumination light bulb. The ground is through the body of the unit. There are ground straps that you have to make sure you have connected. The post on the left is power for the clock. You have the Tac lead correctly attached to the right. Do you have the tac lead connected correctly at the coil? I can't remember what side it goes to.

So if it looks like its all hooked up right, you might want to check your grounds. The amount of surface rust on the case could be preventing a proper ground. Suggest cleaning it up where it contacts the grounds at the bolt in locations on the dash. Most of the options on these cars rely heavily on the grounds being good.

Hope you find the problem and git'r done!
