just put battery in for the first time,high beam headlight started to smoke inside lense, so turned off,it is original light is this just old age ,and need new head lights or could there be another problem, 65 starfire , thanks will.

 

If air/moistue gets into the sealed beam thus causing it to not be sealed anymore it will smoke and burn out.

 

Yup. Bad bulb. They all gotta go sometime.
