Power windows

My 69 442 conv has power windows, but only in the front. When the interior was ripped out we discovered the rear P/W wiring and switches under the back seat. I cant imagine why someone would take out the power and put cranks back in. Was it possible to order the P/W option in the front only?
Thanks, Rob

I doubt it... If the switches are there, then most likely not.
It is possible that the power motors failed and it was cheaper to install manual regulators, or maybe the power one was unavailable then.
Perhaps the assy line ran out of power regs?? It might not surprise me...

See if there are extra bolt holes in the rear quarter area inside, to where the power reg might have been mounted. I know on the early 70's cars, the power reg had different mounting holes (lower down, towards the front of the car, at an angle.
Here is my right rear qtr:

It once had manual and I changed to power.
